Before Your Procedure

As with many treatments, patients should plan to stop using retinol and exfoliants one week prior to laser treatments. We also require a consultation before your appointment to ensure you’re a good candidate for this treatment. During your consultation, you will meet with one of our Licensed Aestheticians, who will be able to create a customized treatment plan to help you get your desired results.

Since NeoSkin by Aerolase is safe and effective for all skin types, it’s perfect for those looking to address fine lines and wrinkles, spider veins, enlarged pores, age spots, brown spots, hyperpigmentation, and uneven skin tone and texture with a nonsurgical treatment.

Your Procedure

Your procedure will be performed by one of our Licensed Aestheticians and will last anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half, depending on the treatment area or the number of areas being treated. Popular treatment areas include the face, neck, and chest.

To start, your provider will cleanse the area. They’ll then place the NeoSkin laser wand over the skin and move it over the treatment area. Typically, you will only feel a mild warming sensation on the skin when undergoing treatment, and most patients tolerate it very well. For most, a series of treatments is recommended. During your consultation, your provider will determine the number and frequency of treatments to achieve your desired results.

After Your Procedure

Unlike many rejuvenation treatments, NeoSkin has no downtime and is completely non-invasive. This means you can resume normal daily activities immediately following your procedure. You should avoid excess sun exposure as much as possible immediately after your procedure because your skin will be more sensitive to damage. Because of this sensitivity, it’s important to keep your skin protected with daily sunscreen use following treatment.

Understanding the Risks

This Aerolase laser is designed to safely treat all skin types and skin tones, making it a very safe treatment. However, patients may experience the following side effects:

• Redness
• Swelling
• Skin irritation
• Mild warmth that feels like a sunburn

These side effects typically resolve on their own within a few days and to minimize the strength of these effects, make sure to follow your provider’s aftercare instructions. Use a gentle moisturizer and cleanser, avoid using harsh skincare products, and use sunscreen regularly.

 Before your Aerolase treatment, please inform us if:

• You have a history of cold sores or eczema
• You have a history of allergic reactions
• You have recently used a tanning bed or spray tanning.

Results of Your Procedure

NeoSkin by Aerolase is proven to deliver excellent clinical results for all skin types, including tanned and darker skin. The treatment helps to minimize the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, lax skin, and pores and improves overall skin tone and texture. Patients typically require three treatments before they see the results they’re looking for, but you will likely see some improvements after your first treatment.
