Before Your Procedure

Patients should avoid sun exposure 4 weeks before their treatment and stop using retinol and exfoliants one week before treatment to prevent skin irritation or damage. A consultation will be scheduled with one of our licensed aestheticians to make sure you are a good candidate for Halo laser treatment and we will develop a customized treatment plan that meets your unique goals and skin needs.

Your Procedure

A topical anesthetic will be applied before your treatment. You will feel little to no discomfort during your procedure. Most patients describe the treatment as a feeling of heat with occasional pricking sensations but are generally comfortable.  One of our skincare specialists will determine the length and number of treatments you will need for the best results.

Your Recovery

Halo laser skin resurfacing uses fractional laser energy to create microchannels in the skin’s surface, triggering the body’s natural healing response and collagen stimulation. As new collagen develops and healthy skin is resurfaced, uneven skin texture and tone will be greatly improved. A topical anesthetic will be applied before your treatment so you will feel little to no discomfort. Most patients describe the treatment as a feeling of heat with occasional pricking sensations but are generally comfortable.  One of our skincare specialists will determine how many treatments you will need for the best results. On average, each Halo treatment takes 30-60 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area. Halo can be safely used on the face, neck, chest, arms, and other areas of the body where patients are bothered by sun damage and visible signs of aging.

After Your Procedure

There is minimal downtime after Halo treatments, but mild swelling and redness is common and expected. Depending on your treatment, these symptoms can persist for up to 7 days. For the first 48 hours, it is important to keep your skin protected according to instructions provided by your skincare specialist.  After the first 48 hours, you should be able to resume everyday activities.  Within a few days, your skin will begin to peel, and makeup can be applied as tolerated.

Results of Your Procedure

You will see improvements in overall tone and texture in addition to significant removal of discoloration, reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, reduced pore size, skin reflectivity, and glow! You will begin to see initial results two to five days after your treatment and your skin will continue to improve over time. Most patients see the greatest improvement two to three weeks post-procedure.  For best results, daily sunscreen use and regular BBL treatments are recommended.  Additional treatments may be required for best results!
