Our Philosophy
Introducing the newest machine in fractioned wavelength technology, specially designed with all patients in mind. Moxi is ideal for new patients starting their skincare journey or anyone looking to add an amazing treatment to help maintain their results from previous treatments at Aspire. As a gentle, safe, and year-round procedure, Moxi is beneficial for those wishing to address uneven pigmentation, tone and texture, sun damage, or aging on the skin’s surface. This new technology is good for both “rejuvenation,” to stave off the visible signs of aging before they appear, and long-term maintenance, to extend the results of more aggressive laser & light procedures and maintain the appearance of healthy skin over longer periods.
Benefits of Moxi Laser Treatments
Moxi offers numerous benefits for individuals seeking skin rejuvenation without significant downtime. As a non-ablative laser treatment, Moxi improves skin tone, texture, and elasticity by stimulating collagen production. It’s highly effective for reducing uneven pigmentation, sun damage, fine lines, and age spots, leaving you with a smoother, more radiant complexion.
Since Moxi is gentle and suitable for all skin types, including darker tones, it can be used year-round. Whether you’re aiming for early skin rejuvenation or long-term maintenance after more aggressive procedures, Moxi helps maintain healthy, youthful-looking skin with minimal discomfort and recovery time.

Before Your Procedure
At Aspire Plastic Surgery, we require a consultation before anyone is able to have a treatment or procedure done. It is in this meeting that we will assess your concerns and goals to determine if a treatment, like Moxi, is right for you. To prepare for your Moxi treatment, you should avoid prolonged sun exposure, including tanning beds, for at least 7 days. This includes sun tanning creams or sprays and hair removal creams. Certain active ingredients in skin care, like retinol, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, and benzoyl peroxide, can interact with treatment and should be avoided for 14 days leading up to your Moxi appointment. Lastly, you should abstain from taking any blood thinning medication for up to 7 days before your treatment.
Your Procedure
To begin your Moxi laser procedure, your skin will be thoroughly cleansed. A numbing cream will then be applied to the treatment area to ensure you remain comfortable during the duration of the treatment. In addition to making sure you are physically comfortable; you will be asked to wear protective eyewear to keep you safe from the bright laser. The Moxi handpiece is then moved over the skin whilst emitting controlled light energy to target skin irregularities. The laser effectively damages these irregular skin cells, and the body works to naturally dispose of them.
After Your Procedure
Moxi is a non-ablative laser treatment, meaning that it does not cause any physical damage to skin texture. This is a great way to experience results without much downtime. Your skin may appear red for up to three days following treatment, but the gentle nature of this procedure means that you do not have to take any time off to recover.
Is Moxi Laser Safe for All Skin Types?
One of the most significant benefits of Moxi is its versatility. Unlike broadband light laser treatments that may not be suitable for darker skin tones, Moxi is designed to be safe and effective for all skin types and tones. Because it does not rely on intense heat or aggressive resurfacing, it minimizes the risk of hyperpigmentation.
Results
Moxi is a gentle procedure with minimal downtime, making it a great introductory treatment for those that are new to skin rejuvenating treatments, but this does not mean it is not effective for skin concerns. You will notice radiant skin immediately after Moxi treatments. The best way to experience long-term results is by having a series of treatments done. Patients usually require 3-4 Moxi sessions to experience optimal results.
Understanding the Risks
Moxi is a gentle treatment with very few serious risks or side effects. The common ones include redness, mild discomfort, a slight burning sensation, and a flaky-dry texture during your healing process.
