Before Your Procedure

Patients should stop using retinols and exfoliants one week prior to Aerolase laser treatments. We do require a consultation prior to your treatment to make sure you are a good candidate and that the Aerolase laser is safe for you. During your consultation, you will meet with one of our licensed aestheticians who will create a customized treatment plan to help you get your desired results!

Your Procedure

Acne is primarily caused by excess sebum oil that mixes with bacteria and debris on the skin’s surface and gets trapped in the skin’s pores. NeoClear uses laser energy to penetrate deeply into the skin, generating heat around the sebaceous glands that produce sebum oil. The heat suppresses inflammation and destroys the acne bacteria. Laser energy also penetrates into the deeper skin layers to stimulate collagen production and renew healthy skin tissue for a comprehensive skin rejuvenation treatment. Skin cooling technology will protect your skin and keep you comfortable during the procedure.

Each Aerolase treatment takes about 30 minutes and is performed by one of our licensed aestheticians. Shortly after treatment you should start to see a reduction in swelling and the overall number of acne lesions should decrease.

Understanding the Risks

NeoClear is FDA-cleared for acne treatment and will not cause any of the side effects common to traditional therapies, such as itchy, dry or sensitive skin. However, before your NeoClear treatment, please inform us if you:

• Have a history of cold sores or eczema
• Have a history of allergic reactions
• Have an active infection in the treatment area
• Recently used a tanning bed or spray tannings

After Your Procedure

Immediately following your treatment, you may experience some redness and slight tenderness. This will subside hours after treatment and you can resume normal activities immediately following treatment. After a single treatment session, you should start to see a reduction in swelling and the overall number of acne lesions but additional treatments may be required for best results.

Results of Your Procedure

Many patients see results immediately after one treatment and further improvement following subsequent treatments. You should expect fewer acne breakouts, less severe acne, and smoother skin without prominent acne scarring. By stimulating collagen production and turnover of new, healthy tissues, you can also expect an improvement in enlarged pores, pigmented lesions, and overall skin quality.
