BroadBand Light (BBL)® laser treatments aren’t a new service in our office, but BBL HERO® is a new and improved application that our patients already love!
The original BBL® treatments are powered by Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and work to minimize the appearance of aging effects and sun damage. The flash lamp technology targets treatment areas with a range of wavelengths and adapters allow us to treat hard-to-reach areas.
The BBL HERO® has the added technology of High Energy Rapid Output™, which allows us to perform faster, more powerful treatments for our patients. For example, the service featuring high-intensity pulses of visible light can be performed on your face or even larger areas like your back or legs – in only 2 to 5 minutes. For those who opt for a full-body treatment, it can be done in as little as 30 minutes. That’s just as quick as a lunch break!

This new device also features enhanced CoolComfort™ Technology, which enables the tool’s sensors to maintain adjustable temperatures between 32° and 86° Fahrenheit. This not only ensures the comfort of our patients during the procedure but also enables us to provide consistent treatments and results.
The broad-spectrum visible and invisible light used in the BBL HERO® works by selectively heating layers of the skin. Wavelength output can also be adjusted, which allows us to personalize the treatment to each patient’s individual needs. This ability for customization often enables us to achieve visible results in fewer treatments than we were able to do previously. (Bonus: this also saves you money!)
The efficient BBL HERO® treatment works well on most skin types. We already mentioned age spots, sunspots, and other sun damage, but this procedure can also be effective at minimizing effects of hyperpigmentation, acne scarring, rosacea, rough or dry skin texture, wrinkles, fine lines, and more.
