You will need to shave your underarm area 4-6 days prior to your procedure.  By the time you come in for your treatment, there will be a little bit of hair growth to identify the area to be treated.  Do not wear antiperspirants, deodorants, or lotions on the day of your procedure.

miraDry works by delivering precisely controlled electromagnetic energy to the underarm area, permanently eliminating your underarm sweat and odor glands.  Your miraDry procedure is quick and comfortable, lasting around 2 hours and is done at the Aspire office.  We encourage you to bring a portable music player or your phone along with headphones to enjoy music and relax during your procedure.

You may notice some redness and swelling in the treated area for a few days to a few weeks. It’s important to ice underarms for the few days following your procedure.  We also recommend a mild pain medication (such as ibuprofen) to minimize the swelling and discomfort that you may experience from the treatment.  Keep the treated area clean by gently cleaning with hot water and a mild soap.  Refrain from vigorous activity for a few days!

miraDry has minimal side effects.  Side effects may include swelling, slight discomfort, tenderness, bruising, tingling, numbness and loss of hair in the underarm area.

You should expect to see results in as little as one treatment!  Your results are immediate and lasting!  Once the sweat and odor glands are destroyed, they cannot regenerate!
