Your Skin Hydration Procedure
During a consultation, one of our Advanced Practitioners will assess your facial anatomy and discuss your desired outcomes. After this, a topical numbing cream may be applied to minimize any discomfort during the treatment. Your provider will then strategically inject the gram positive bacterial proteins beneath the skin’s surface in a process designed to promote natural moisture and softness, leading to improved skin health and long-lasting, glowing skin.

Good Candidates for Skinvive by Juvéderm
Candidates include those wanting to improve their overall skin quality and are already satisfied with their overall plumping. Patients may have dull skin or mild nasolabial folds and seek more hydrated skin. This skin booster treatment is ideal for all skin tones and Fitzpatrick skin types. Skinvive stimulates collagen production, enhancing the smoothness of the cheeks and enhances the smoothness of your appearance using a gentle, non-volumizing formula. However, if you have a history of multiple severe allergies or adverse events after traditional fillers, Skinvive may not be for you. The best way to determine your candidacy is by scheduling a consultation with Dr. Brian Lee.
After Your Hyaluronic Acid Procedure
Immediately following your treatment, it is normal to experience minor swelling, temporary redness, and occasional bruising. Avoid extreme heat, exercise and alcohol for 24 hours post-treatment. Avoid aspirin, non-steroidal anti inflammatory medications, St. Johns Wort and high doses of vitamin E supplements for one week following the treatment, as these agents may increase bruising and bleeding at injection site. While you may notice an immediate improvement in the skin’s texture, you will not see the fully healed result until approximately 4 weeks post treatment, lasting up to six months.
Understanding the Risks
While injectables like SKINVIVE™ by JUVÉDERM® are relatively safe, every procedure comes with risks. Those specific to SKINVIVE™ injections include:
- Swelling
- Bruising
- Redness
- Lumpiness
- Pain or tenderness at the injection site
- Itching
- Skin discoloration
Typically, resolution is spontaneous within 2-3 days after injection. If you experience persistent, unusual symptoms contact your provider immediately.immediately.
