For most of us, the summer season is accompanied by increased time outside in the heat and sunshine. In addition to increased exposure to the sun during the summer months, you may also be exposing your skin to chlorine during swimming, extra sweat during exercise, bug bites, and dehydration.
Some things you can do to help protect your skin include wearing sunscreen and/or bug repellent as needed and maintaining a normal skin cleansing and moisturizing routine.

Botox® is an injection treatment that is used to treat crow’s feet, frown lines, and furrows in the forehead. This procedure involves injecting botulinum toxin type A through a very tiny needle into the muscles that are causing the wrinkles. The toxin injection weakens the muscles, making them unable to contract and form those dreaded facial lines.
While the outpatient procedure often takes just 30 minutes or less, it is important to understand that administration of it requires expert knowledge of the muscles of the face. The practitioner must be careful to treat only the appropriate muscles for full immobilization, while other facial expressions are preserved.
Botox® procedures are performed by Dr. Lee, our Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, or one of our Advanced Practitioners Jill or Jennifer.
Juvederm® is a facial filler treatment that features hyaluronic acid as the base ingredient. It is also an injection but differs from Botox®. While Botox® works to reduce muscle activity that causes wrinkles, facial filler treatments like Juvederm® inject collagen to plump the skin and stimulate collagen growth.

Diamond Glow® is a 3-in-1 advanced microdermabrasion treatment that extracts, exfoliates, and infuses serums into the skin based on your skin concerns.
Microdermabrasion with Diamond Glow® is a deep exfoliation that removes the top layer of skin to deliver the serums directly to the surface of the newly revealed skin surface.
The serums that are used are customized for different skin types to give each patient the perfect blend for their specific needs. Serums can help with dryness, acne, brightness, fine lines and wrinkles, dark spots and discoloration, and more.
A Diamond Glow® treatment is an outpatient session that takes 30 minutes to complete. After your treatment, your skin will look and feel renewed and nourished.
