Sunscreen Must Be Slathered

Posted on:

Most of us apply far less sunscreen than necessary. You should use 1 ounce—about a shot glass’s worth—every two hours. That bottle should only last two trips to the beach…not two years! Further, most sunscreens don’t protect well against UVA exposure, which penetrates deeper and causes leathery skin and wrinkling. So remember to cover up, and consistently use a broad-spectrum product such as SkinMedica’s Environmental Defense Sunscreen SPF 50. It’s recommended as an effective sunscreen by the Skin Cancer Foundation. And SkinMedica donates $1 toward skin cancer protection and awareness efforts for every SPF product sold!
