Botox® is an injection treatment featuring the botulinum toxin that weakens wrinkle-causing muscles, which minimizes or eliminates the appearance of those dreaded wrinkles. If you have frown lines, forehead furrows, or crow’s feet that aren’t your favorite facial feature, a Botox® treatment may be just what you need.
Though the procedure only takes about 20 minutes, having expert knowledge of facial muscles as Dr. Lee does is essential. Following your injection, you may experience some tenderness, and you may notice a few small marks from the injection.
We recommend avoiding any strenuous activity for 24 hours after your injection, and you also want to avoid rubbing the injection area(s) of your face for a few days to ensure the toxin stays in the injected muscles. It may take up to a week following the injection for full results to appear, though you should start to see results after three or four days.
We have other injection formulas available featuring the botulinum toxin, including Dysport®, Xeomin®, and Jeuveau®.
We also offer a variety of facial filler treatments, which work well for treating larger folds and deep wrinkles in your face. A common problem area that is treated with fillers is the area between your nose to the corners of your mouth.
Dermal filler treatments inject collagen or hyaluronic acid formulas that plump and hydrate the skin and stimulate collagen growth. Some fillers feel softer under the skin and are ideal for application in your lips, though their results don’t last as long. The firmer fillers work better in areas around your mouth and effects last longer.
Your filler treatment will take between 30 minutes and 1 hour in our office, depending on the areas you are having treated. You can expect results from filler treatments to last anywhere from three months to one year, depending on the formula used and area treated.
Though each filler product varies in its exact formula, the most common fillers include hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid also is naturally present in your skin and helps maintain the softness, volume, and overall moisture balance in your skin.
Filler treatments offered by Aspire Plastic Surgery that are hyaluronic acid-based include Juvéderm®. These injections help to restore proper moisture balance in your skin, which makes it feel softer and look smoother.
Collagen is a natural protein found in the bones, tendons, cartilage, and skin of all mammals, including humans. The collagen that is present in your skin helps maintain firmness and smoothness. Existing collagen weakens and less new collagen is produced as you age.
Radiesse® is our collagen-based facial filler, and results will appear over time as the filler is absorbed by your body and the production of new collagen is encouraged.
